I have always been curious about one thing — what makes each person different?

Why does one child learn something effortlessly while another struggles with the same thing?

Why does one person remain composed in a difficult situation while another reacts instantly?

Why do some people flourish in a particular career, while others feel lost even after achieving what they thought they wanted?

And perhaps the most interesting question of all—how much of our potential remains unexplored simply because we have not understood ourselves well enough?

These questions have shaped much of my professional journey.

I am N. R. Rakesh Babu, a Contemplative Psychologist, Holistic Life Skill Coach, Speaker and Neuro Potential Strategist, with more than 21 years of professional experience working with individuals, students, parents, professionals, educational institutions and organisations.

Over the last 15 years, I have had the privilege of interacting with and supporting 10,000+ people facing different challenges in learning, behaviour, career, relationships, parenting and personal growth. I have also assessed 1,000+ brains, studying individual patterns and helping people understand their natural strengths, tendencies and potential.

But numbers alone don’t tell my story.

My Approach

My work brings together my experience in psychology, brain potential, behavioural understanding, life skills and human development.

I am particularly interested in understanding how people learn, perceive, behave, communicate, make decisions and respond to the world around them.

My approach is not about finding a quick label for a person. It is about asking better questions.

What is this person naturally good at?
What is making them struggle?
How do they process information?
What influences their behaviour?
What environment helps them perform better?
What potential is waiting to be nurtured?

When we begin asking these questions, our perspective changes.

A child is no longer simply “weak in studies.”

A teenager is not merely “difficult.”

A professional is not simply “stressed.”

And a person who feels lost is not necessarily without potential.

Sometimes, they simply haven’t discovered the right way to understand themselves.

My Work With Young Minds

A significant part of my work has been with children, students and adolescents

I work with areas such as learning difficulties, behavioural concerns, concentration, career direction, personality, confidence, parenting challenges and adolescent development.

I have also had the opportunity to speak to tens of thousands of students across colleges in Tamil Nadu, helping young people think about themselves, their choices, relationships, careers and their future with greater awareness.

My association with The Art of Living has also given me the opportunity to work closely with youngsters through the Youth Leadership Training Program, where I focus on nurturing responsible behaviour, leadership and life skills.

I believe that helping a young person understand themselves early can save them from years of unnecessary confusion later.

My Work With Adults and Organisations

Human development doesn’t stop when we leave school.

Adults too go through career uncertainty, relationship challenges, parenting concerns, workplace pressure, behavioural patterns and questions about purpose and direction.

Over the years, I have worked with individuals as well as organisations and institutions, including ISRO, nationalised banks, schools and colleges, delivering programmes in psychology, soft skills, leadership, behavioural development and holistic wellness.

Whether I am working with a student, parent, professional or organisation, I try to bring the same quality of attention:

Understand first. Guide next. Nurture continuously.

Why This Work Matters to Me

Over the years, I have come to appreciate something very simple:

No two people need exactly the same path to grow.

What works for one person may not work for another.

A child may need encouragement where another needs structure. A student may need a different approach to learning. A teenager may need space to think rather than more instructions. A professional may need clarity rather than another piece of advice.

This is why I am passionate about helping people understand their individuality, strengths, behaviour and potential rather than simply comparing themselves with others.

My work is ultimately about one thing:

Helping people understand themselves better so they can live, learn, work and relate to others better.

If you are a parent trying to understand your child, a student searching for direction, a professional looking for greater clarity, or simply someone who feels there is more potential within you than you are currently able to express, perhaps the first step is not to change yourself.

Perhaps the first step is to understand yourself. And that is where I would be happy to walk with you.

Let’s understand. Let’s discover. Let’s nurture.

With Gratitude,
Rakesh Babu N.R
